JUNIOR DESIGNER (PART TIME)

Christie Kenny Interiors is looking for a professional, organized, self-motivated junior designer with 3-5 years of residential design experience. The candidate must be organized, energetic, and eager to learn. The Junior Designer will contribute to the firm's success by assisting with design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, maintaining organized client binders and material library. The candidate should work within existing systems and help create new strategies for continued success.


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or other related fields.
  • 3-5 years of interior design experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Apple products and software is required.
  • Excellent technical skills in AutoCAD.
  • SketchUp and 3-D Studio Max or Revit preferred. 
  • Ability to develop floorplans and elevations.
  • Experience selecting and specifying furnishings, fixtures, window coverings, and hard finishes.
  • Experience with a budget, proposals, invoices, purchase orders, and the procurement process.
  • Produce brand-appropriate design presentations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of the design and construction of interior spaces.
  • Knowledge of luxury residential interiors, including kitchen and bath standards, and products.
  • Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude with love for dogs (Required).
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance with a reliable vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and sourcing. Including new products and materials.
  • Prepare for client presentations by creating mood boards, floorplans, and drawings.
  • Follow up with vendors on lead times and quotes.
  • Organize and manage materials library.
  • Type up and organize meeting notes, project status, deliverables, etc.
  • Maintain organized client binders.
  • Read architectural plans and produce scaled sketches, drawings, and room layouts.
  • Participate in all phases of the design process.
  • We appreciate both solid technical skills as well as solid conceptual skills.
  • Interpret client vision and present design concepts and plans to clients.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve project goals, develop conceptual designs within approved budgets, and see long-term design projects from concept to project completion.
  • Participate in site analysis, including surveying existing conditions and field measurements.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with clients and vendors.
  • Design support such as coordinating pricing, order placement, and tracking weekly.
  • Assisting with design presentation preparations, maintaining the design library, and overall studio organization and appearance.



DESIGN STUDIO ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

Christie Kenny Interiors is looking for a skilled and motivated Design Studio Assistant to grow with our company. The Design Studio Assistant will partner with our team to tell the story of our business and processes to our clients and vendors. 


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design other related fields.
  • 1-2 years of interior design experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Apple products and software is required.
  • Previous experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Having a creative approach is essential.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn in AutoCAD and 3d rendering programs is preferred.
  • Strong presentation, articulate communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude with love for dogs (Required)
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance with a reliable vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow our brand's standards for excellence, help ensure an outstanding experience for every customer contact, in all forms of communication, including in-person meetings, telephone, and email.
  • Effectively run and prepare for in-house meetings. These may be vendors, direct clients, or construction team meetings.
  • Become an expert on all preferred brands and communicate your knowledge to our customers.
  • Create customer quotes and follow up.
  • Work with vendors to create, confirm, and finalize custom quotes.
  • Work with receiving providers to quote and execute a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify ways to personalize the experience of every customer.
  • Assist in special events or other marketing efforts.
  • Maintain interiors library and ensure that materials are kept up to date.
  • Ensures that the Studio is clean, visually appealing, and inviting.
  • Onboarding New Clients.
  • Maintain Design Team Calendars.
  • Administrative and design support such as coordinating pricing, order placement, and tracking.
  • Assisting with design presentation preparations, maintaining the design library, and overall studio organization.
