We gave this original 1980s kitchen a transformative remodel, opening up the space by removing the dividing wall between the kitchen and dining room. Our goal was to create an open and inviting layout with generous seating and ample surface area, perfect for family gatherings and everyday living. The design embraces a timeless transitional aesthetic, blending a rich mix of materials: a warm walnut island, hickory flooring, glass backsplash tile, statement lighting, and elegant quartz countertops. The countertop surface features a beautiful combination of whites, soft grays, shimmering flecks, and subtle black specks, perfectly tying together the walnut island and crisp white perimeter cabinetry for a cohesive and elevated look.
